The combat system in Dynasty Online was designed around creating a semi-realistic combat system that is unlike most MMORPGs, this meant that the tab-targeting system that a lot of MMORPG combat is used to was not considered. A lot of modern games have a hectic and skill-based combat that immerses the player thoroughly and we believe that a traditional "click-to-kill" approach was not going to be enough.
Dynasty Online features a more free-form combat that gives the player best of both worlds through the use of their spells. The combat system that we propose will allow lower level players to have the ability to outplay higher level players based if they are skilled enough. Included in this are realistic simulated projectiles, close-quarters weapon combat and a strategic use of Mana. Players will need to learn in order to reach mastery of this system and not solely rely on levels.
